Theatrical Readings
Morroni and Soliani (2021) discuss how to implement a student project requiring students to exhibit their understanding of economic concepts by writing and staging theatrical plays. The authors offer clear guidance on how to implement the project in an undergraduate economics course and suggest offering this activity as a voluntary supplemental activity for students.

Morroni and Soliani (2021) report both better academic performance and positive feedback from students that participated in the activity. Notably, the failure rate is much lower for students that participated, and the activity seemed particularly attractive to female students.
